Sept. 23, 1923 - May 1, 2012

Long time Imperial Valley resident, Ann M. Daniels passed away Tuesday, May 1 in El Centro.
She was born to Leland and Alma Marsters, September 23, 1923 in Kingsville, Texas. In 1941 Ann graduated from Kingsville High School. She attended Texas A & I, leaving to marry Thomas O. Daniels, Jr. They were married for 66 years. Tom was career military, so the early years of their marriage were spent moving around the United States and spending a tour of duty in Germany. Ann was very proud to be a Texan, even managing to give birth to her sons in her native state. After moving to Calexico in 1954, she made many friends and enjoyed an active social life until the last few months of her life. She was a great cook, a wonderful grandmother, and a competitive golfer and bridge player. She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and P.E.O. Ann completed her education at Imperial Valley College and San Diego State, Imperial Valley Campus. She taught in Calexico at Mains and Jefferson schools for two decades. She loved teaching and enjoyed watching her students grow as individuals.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Tom; son, David; parents Leland and Alma Marsters; brothers, Leland Jr. and Herbert; sister-in-law, Nancy Marsters; and in-laws, Tommy and Luanna Daniels.
She is survived by son, Thomas O. (Dan) Daniels III (Paula) of Holtville; grandsons, Ross ( Pamela) of Holtville, Kyle (Natalie) of Alameda; granddaughter, Laura Boston (Michael) of Holtville; great-grand- children, Lee, Shelby, Cameron, Stephanie, Allison, Emmalee Ann, and Michael Rhodes III. In Texas are nieces, Glenna Artripe and Martha Ann Marsters, nephew, Clifford Marsters and numerous great and great- great-nieces and nephews.
Service will be on Monday, May 7 at 10a.m at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 548 Chestnut Avenue, Holtville.
