Benito Sepulveda, 98, of Brawley passed away Wednesday, December 4.
Benito was born April 2, 1915 in El Paso, Texas to Innocente and Paz Sepulveda. He was married Josefina S. Sepulveda in May 1950. Benito worked for the Orita Land and Cattle Co. for 63 years as an agriculture foreman. He enjoyed gardening, vacationing in Ensenada, and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Josefina Sepulveda; father, Innocente Sepulveda; mother, Paz Sepulveda; brothers, Juan and Victoriano Sepulveda; sisters, Isabel Rivas and Antonia Esparza; sons, Refugio and Marcelo Terriquez.
Benito is survived by his sister, Veda Perez; daughters, Maria Arce, and Bertha and Andres Mercado; son, Carlos S. and Ramona Terriquez; grandchildren, Jaime Arce, Ben (Elsa) Arce, Mariscela Arce, Andy (Elsa) Mercado, Paul Mercado, Carlos R. (Lala) Terriquez, Michael (Maria) Terriquez, Armando (Norma) Terriquez, Raul Terriquez and Carmen Terriquez; 18 great- grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will take place Friday, December 13 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley. Rosary will be said at 7 p.m.
Mass will commence at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 14 at St. Margaret Mary Church. Burial will immediately follow at Riverview Cemetery.
