CHARLES ARTHUR FLOYD

Charles Arthur Floyd, 74, a resident of San Diego for 46 years, passed away November 7, 2012.
Charles was born July 17, 1938 in Ada, Oklahoma to Edgar and Lela Sullivan Floyd. He moved to Brawley, CA in 1940. He graduated with the class of 1956 from BUHS. After graduation he joined the Army serving in the United States Army Counterintelligence Corps during the Cold War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Floyd, and Lela Floyd and nephew, Mark Floyd.
Charles is survived by his wife of 50 years, Julie Toomas Floyd; his daughters Kimberly (Scott Faber) of San Diego, and Kellie (Rob) Terry of Oregon; grandchildren, Jaiden and Ryan Terry, and Lauren Faber, his brother, Don Floyd (Carol) of Boulevard; two sisters, Norma (John) Gibson and Linda Burns of Murritta and many nieces and nephews of Brawley.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church, 7669 Girard Avenue in La Jolla, CA, with a reception to follow.
In Lieu of flowers, donations to the National Brain Tumor Society would be appreciated. Chuck was a kind and loving soul and will be greatly missed.
