Corina Marie Samaniego, 32, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30, 2013.
Corina was born and raised in El Centro, CA. She attended Harding Elementary, Wilson Junior High and CUHS class of 1999. In 2001, she began working for the Imperial County District Attorney's office where she remained for 12 years.
Cori enjoyed the company of family and friends and loved a good laugh. She will be remembered for her quick wit, beautiful smile and her dream of marrying Seth McFarland. Although her time with us was short, we all will benefit from memories of her that will last a lifetime.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at New Destiny Church, 202 N. Cooley Rd. in El Centro. Reception will follow at 1 p.m. at Vacation Inn.
Corina is survived by her daughters, Elyssa and Renita Samaniego; their father, Gerardo Samaniego; father, Steven Le Masters; sisters, Jennifer and Ashley Le Masters; aunts, Rose Mary Inman and Leticia Carson; uncles, Manuel and Richard Barros of Phoenix and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Teresa Barros Le Masters; sister, Anna Alicia Le Masters and her grandparents, Manuel and Matilda Barros.
In lieu of flowers, a fund in her name has been established at Sun Community Federal Credit Union.
