Eliodoro M. Jimenez passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at his home of natural causes.
He was born November 11, 1922 in Yahualica Jalisco Mexico to Felix Jimenez and Maria Guadalupe Martinez. He came to Imperial Valley in 1944 and was one of the braseros. He met his beautiful wife Aurora Ramirez and married her on February 19, 1955 in Mexicali. He worked for Danny Dannenberg for 30 years in the agriculture business until he moved to Holtville. He then worked for Gentry Farms till this retirement. He dedicated his time to his small ranch where he lived out in the country raising his cows, goats and chickens. He loved the country dearly and didn't want to move to the city.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Aurora Jimenez of Holtville; sons Felix Jimenez and Paul Jimenez (Nerty) of Holtville; daughter, Maria Rivera (Francisco) of Shafter, CA; brothers, Teodulo Jimenez, Pablo Jimenez of Mexico, Jose Guadalupe of San Jose, CA; sisters, Maria Jimenez , Simona Jimenez of Mexico, Daria Plascencia of Van Nuys, CA; grandchildren, Felix Jr. Alejandra, Juan Enrique, Olga Leticia, Ramses Jimenez and Angelina, Erendira Rivera; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be held Thursday, September 23 at St. Joseph's Church in Holtville from 6 to 9 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m.
Mass will commence at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 24 at St. Joseph's Church in Holtville. Burial will be at Mt. View Cemetery in Calexico.
