ESTHER ORTIZ BLANCO

Esther Ortiz Blanco, 88, of Calexico, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2015.
Esther was born on November 8, 1926 in Tepache Sonora Mex. She married Jesus Ortiz on May 1946 in Tepache, Sonora. They relocated to Mexicali Mexico in 1951 where they had 10 children. In 1966 they settle in Calexico California. Esther was a seasonal farm laborer especially during the 1970's and 1980's. She was a loving mother who enjoyed gardening and was an active member at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Calexico.
She is preceded in death by her daughters, Analilia and Amparo; sons, Francisco and Gerardo; grandson, Gerardo; and husband, Jesus Ortiz.
She is survived by her sons, Jesus (Isabel), Enrique (Bertha) and Martin (Janet); daughters, Lorena (Ruben), Esther and Maria (Roberto); grandkids, Karen, Alan, Carlos, Ivan, Emma, Ruben, Daniel, Joel, Lexie, Roberto, Austin, Jazleigh; great-grandkids, Hector, Giovanna, Lizbeth, Carlos, Mia and Aubree.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 30, 2015 at 6 p.m. at Hems Brothers Mortuary in Calexico with Rosary being said at 7 p.m. Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 9 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Calexico and will be officiated by Father Carlos. Burial will immediately follow at Mt. View Cemetery in Calexico.
