Hortencia G. Abarca, 82 of Brawley passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012. She was born September 6, 1929 in Phoenix, Arizona to Darieo and Veronica Gonzales.
Visitation will take place Friday, April 20 at 10 a.m. at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley. Prayer service, officiated by Father Ruben Valenzuela, will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Hortencia will be laid to rest at Riverview Cemetery.
Hortencia is survived by her daughter, Mary Valenzuela of El Centro; sons, Bobby Donez of Bakersfield, Frank Donez of Carlsbad, Mike and Gilbert Donez of Blythe; sisters, Maria, Adelina and Yolanda; brothers, Gonzalo, Manuel, Tony, Ernesto and Eddie; 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
