Jacob Curiel, 28, of Imperial lost his life in an unexpected aircraft accident outside of Porterville, CA on Sunday, January 6, 2013.
He was born December 6, 1984 in Brawley, CA and graduated from Imperial High in 2003. He worked for Floyd Johnston as a pipe layer. Jacob loved spending time with his family and friends. His favorite place to be was at the desert. He always had a smile on his face and enjoyed making new friends.
Jacob was preceded in death by his stepfather, Floyd Johnston.
He is survived by his mother, Maria Macias of Imperial; brother, Francisco (Amanda) Curiel of Imperial; twin brother, Jason (Mariza) Curiel of Palm Springs, CA; nephews, Francisco Jr., Ozzy, Brendon, Brennon and Cash Curiel.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Faith Assembly in Imperial, CA. Service will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at 10 a.m. at Faith Assembly in Imperial. Burial will immediately follow at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro.
