JOE R. MORENO

Joe R. Moreno, 55, passed away after a long battle with cancer on April 12, at PMH. Joe was raised in Brawley and lived in Westmorland. He graduated from Brawley Union High School in 1975 and married his wife Elizabeth Rodriguez Moreno on June 5, 1976. Joe's passion in life was his family, especially his grandchildren, and Brawley wrestling.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Josefina Moreno.
Joe is survived by his wife, Elizabeth; two sons, Joseph and Stephen Moreno; three grandchildren, Joseph Jr. (JJ), Jayden and Kaylen Moreno; his father, Jorge Moreno of Brawley; brothers, Jorge Jr. (Yolanda) Moreno of Santa Ana, CA, and Ricky Moreno, of Brawley; sisters, Alice (Carlos) Navarro of Chino, CA, Yolanda (Ralph) Ochoa of Brawley, Olga Moreno of El Centro, Lorena (Tony) Cazares of Brawley, and Josie Heath of Brawley; and numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces and cousins.
Visitation will take place Thursday, April 19 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Frye Chapel in Brawley with rosary at 7 p.m.
Mass will commence at 9 a.m. on Friday at Sacred Heart Church in Brawley. Burial will immediately follow at Riverview Cemetery.
