Jose O. Carrillo, 81, of Brawley, passed away Sunday, April 6, 2014.
He was born August 18, 1932 in Jalisco, Mexico and was married to the love of his life Maria R. Carrillo for 58 years. He adored his wife, children and grandchildren. He was employed with Ruegger & Ruegger for over 40 years until retirement. He was an active parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Church. His involvement at this parish included being a lector, eucharistic minister and a member of Guadalupano Group for over 30 years. He helped establish the Traditional Posadas at St. Margaret Mary Church. He loved watching baseball especially his favorite team the Dodgers.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 14, 2014 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Frye Chapel and Mortuary in Brawley with Rosary being said at 7 p.m. Mass will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 9 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Church in Brawley. Burial will immediately follow at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley.
He was survived by his loving wife, Maria R. Carrillo of Brawley; son and daughters, Joe (Maria) Carrillo of Brawley, Alma (Alfonso) Gonzalez of Westmorland, Betty Carrillo (Leroy Galvan) of Texas, Maura (Tony) Ferrel of Brawley, Patti (Don) Fehrer of Washington, Monica (Manuel) Oliveros of San Diego; grandchildren, Christina Gonzalez (Rudy Prado) of San Diego, Alfonso Gonzalez of Phoenix, Lydia Ferrel of San Diego, Claudia (Justin) Wingate of Brawley, Jamie and Joseph Carrillo of Brawley, Andrew Galvan of Sonoma, Samantha Galvan of Texas, Victoria Hayes of Washington and Isabella Oliveros of San Diego.
