Obituary Condolences

Sept. 29, 2006 - Feb. 10, 2013

Patricio Mendoza, 6, of Imperial passed away Sunday, February 10.
Patricio was born September 29, 2006 in Brawley to Jose and Carolina Mendoza. Patricio arrived by surprise, weeks before he was expected. He was certainly welcomed lovingly and excitedly by his parents, his big sister, Isabel, his grandparents and a hospital lobby full of celebrating relatives.
Patricio was an extremely happy baby with a little touch of mischeviousness. He loved school even though mornings were a challenge. He started pre- school at United Families and then moved on to the big kids school, T.L. Waggoner. Patricio always expressed that his teachers were nice. He was also always quite the gentleman and a lady charmer, batting his long eyelashes at the ladies. That's probably why "time-outs" never stuck.
He enjoyed playing with his school friends, neighbors and long time friends, he called cousins. He was a leader with his smaller cousins and they loved running around the house playing hide and seek, and pretending to be superheroes like Superman, Iron Man, and his favorite, Hulk.
Patricio was preceded in death by his playful soulmate, Tata Jose Mendoza; and his great-aunt Licha. He is survived by his parents, Jose and Carolina Mendoza; his sister, Isabel; his nana, Margarita Mendoza; his Mendoza, Tolentino, Banda, Holler, Shaolin U.S.A families and numerous friends whom he loved very much. The incredible Ticho will forever be our superhero.
Viewing will be held Monday, February 18, 2013 at Frye Chapel in Brawley from 6 to 9 p.m. Religious services will be held Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at 9 a.m. with Pastor Danny Gutierrez officiating at graveside at Riverview Cemetery in Brawley.
