BISHOP SAMUEL MOORE

Bishop Samuel Moore Prelate of Brazil and pastor of the Holy Tabernacle COGIC in El Centro CA, has gone to be with the Lord, April 2, 2012. Bishop Moore has built a legacy in the Imperial Valley as a resident and pastor for more that 50 years. Bishop has been dedicated to the mission field and has build 2 churches in Mexico and served as a Coordinator to churches in the country of Mexico for many years not only spreading the gospel but aiding in feeding and clothing many citizens of this area. He evangelized and preached in many countries including Cuba, Panama, Korea, The Dominican Republic, and Africa, just to name a few, and worked diligently in the country of Brazil where an orphanage and publishing house and more than 100 churches under COGIC have been establish. Bishop Samuel Moore has been the Beloved pastor of the Holy Tabernacle COGIC for more than 55 years and we the church family of Holy Tabernacle, will forever keep him in our hears. Bishop Moore has worked faithfully for the Lord and we have witnessed the fruits of his labor, for many of us today have been introduce to Christ because of his efforts. The Lord has called him home because he has served well. "Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things; enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." Matthew 25:21
He is preceded in death by his wife, First Lady Thelma Moore, who recently preceded him in death on March 18, 2012.
He is survived by those to Cherish his memories are two sons, Shawn and Kenya Moore; daughter Marakai Fellows (Mark); adopted daughter, Aida Clark (Rick); sister, Darlene Williams; goddaughter, Dorothy Bailey; 10 grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, mothers, brothers, sisters and daughters in the Lord.
Service will be a local home going service on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at the First Baptist Church at 724 Orange Ave in El Centro, CA at 11 a.m. Eulogized by Jurisdictional Bishop J. Ealy.
COGIC National service will be held Thursday, April 19, 2012 at 12 p.m. at West Angeles COGIC in Los Angeles, CA, eulogized by Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake of the COGIC. Burial will commence Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in El Centro, CA.
