GILBERT R. JUAREZ

Gilbert R. Juarez died June 9, 2013, age 75, in Orangevale (Sacramento area) surrounded by family. Born in Brawley on February 28, 1938, he was long time resident of Brawley before moving to Orangevale 22 years ago.
He is survived by his wife Mary Helen (Nena) Juarez; five children, Gilbert Juarez Jr., Teresa Stephens, Gloria Cornejo, Alfred Juarez, and Jess Juarez. He was preceded by his son, Michael Juarez, of which, the family feel, that Dad and Son are having some great conversations. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren. In addition, he is survived by 7 brothers and 3 sisters and numerous of other relatives.
Gilbert attended Brawley High, College of the Desert (COD) and graduated from National Institute in Los Angeles with AA degree. As a young man he worked as drycleaner and later on as an A/C technician. He will be remembered as having many friends for he was a great conversationalist and had a keen sense of humor. His heart was always in Brawley, so this is where he will lay to rest.
Viewing and visitation will be at Frye Chapel on Friday June 14, between 6 and 8 p.m. On Saturday, there will be Mass at St. Margaret Mary at 9 a.m., followed by graveside service. The family invites all family and friends to a reception at ACC at 11: 30 a.m. following the graveside service.
