ROBERT NELS GROULEFF
Oct. 3, 1929- May 6, 2005
Robert Nels Grouleff, 75, of El Centro, passed away on Friday.
Mr. Grouleff was born on Oct. 3, 1929 in El Centro California to his parents Peter and Delia Grouleff.
Robert was raised in El Centro and graduated from Central Union High School in 1948.
In 1987, Robert married Patricia Moore in Yuma, AZ.
Robert served in the Korean War from 1953 to 1957. He was also self employed in agriculture sales for 45 years in the Imperial Valley. He was a life member of the Fraternal Order of Elks Lodge #1325, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3255, Imperial Valley Motorcycle Club District #38, Los Vigilantes and the National Rifle Association. Also, he was an active member in the American Legion Post #0025, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1033, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1559, and the Black Powder Gun Club.
Robert was a fun-loving, happy-go-lucky guy who loved his friends and family dearly. He enjoyed golfing, water skiing, and motorcycle racing.
Family and friends are invited to join in a Celebration of Life and pot luck dinner on Saturday, May 14, at 6 p.m. at the El Centro Moose Lodge. Graveside services will be private, officiated by Rev. Mary Russell.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Delia Grouleff; and his sons, Gregory Frank Grouleff and Harrison Dean Pulliam.
Survivors include his wife Patricia Grouleff of El Centro; son Peter Grouleff of Kent, WA; daughters and sons-in-law, Sonya and Mike Doll of Kent, WA, Margo and Lonnie Lawler of Marysville, WA; daughter-in-law Sheila Pulliam of San Antonio, TX; brother and sister-in-law Albert and Gloria Grouleff of San Juaquin, CA; sisters and brothers-in-law Louise and Marvin Rader of El Centro, Marie and Richard Hargis of Mt. Shasta, CA, Nancy Eughler-Speer of Boulder City, NV, Evelyn Anderson of Colorado Springs, CO, and Gloria and Don Bowen of Le Grange, GA. He is also survived by grandchildren Robert Nels Grouleff, Adam, Aaron and Andy Doll, Kaitlyn and Kelly Pulliam, and David, Danny and Devin Lawler. Also, he has many nieces, nephews and cousins here and abroad in Denmark.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Robert Grouleff to California-Hawaii Elks Major Project, Inc. (CHEMPI), 5450 East Lamona Ave., Fresno, CA, 93272-2224.
