PLAYFORD, MYRNA Myrna Jean Playford, 86, of Jonesville, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 23, 1929 in Concord, Michigan to Claud & Veda (Weston) Drake. Myrna was married June 26, 1948 to Roland "Ron" Playford Jr. and he preceded her in death in 2009. Myrna was the former co-owner of Playford Auto Parts and previously worked at the Marzel Dress Shop in Jonesville. She was a graduate of Jonesville High School, Class of 1947. Myrna was a member of the Jonesville United Methodist Church and also former member and past-president of the Hillsdale Lady Elks Lodge. Surviving Myrna is a son, Craig (Wendy) Playford of Jonesville, grandchildren, Bryan (Mary) Playford of Jonesville, Brad (Laura) Playford of Scottsdale, AZ, Lucas (Alexis) Blonde of Palantine, IL, Sherrie (Roger) Thon of Kendallville, IN and Andrew (Nichole) Blonde of Hillsdale; great-grandchildren, Koryn, Kaden, Carson, Zoe and Owen; a special friend, Roy Hill and forever friend, Phyllis Spears, and loving caregiver, Sally Magda. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ron and siblings, J.C. Drake and Lavella Glowe. Funeral services for Myrna Playford will be Monday, January 25, 2016 at 11:00 AM at the Jonesville United Methodist Church with Pastor Jennifer Ward officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset View Cemetery in Jonesville. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-5 PM at the Eagle Funeral Home in Jonesville.
