Bond Arthur Thomas, Sr.
Mr. Bond Arthur Thomas, Sr., age 61 of Dayton, OH, passed away Monday, September 24, 2012 at his residence.
Born May 7, 1951 in Chicago, IL to the late Eloyd Sr. and Millard (Bond) Thomas, but grew up in Jackson, TN. He graduated from Merry High School, Class of 1970. He attended Tennessee State University where he completed a Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice, and became a Correctional Officer for the state of Tennessee in 1972. Bond became a Christian very early in his life when he joined Mount Zion Baptist Church in Jackson, TN.
Preceded in death by his brothers, Mr. Eugene Arthur Thomas and Mr. Eloyd Thomas, Jr.
He is survived by his children, Bond A. Thomas, Jr. of Waukegan, IL, Brian E. Thomas of Silver Spring, MD, Damon M. Thomas of Nashville, TN, Yvonne M. Thomas of Dayton, OH; siblings, Angela Thomas Boatwright of Los Angeles, CA, Michael Paxton of Memphis, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2012 at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 1720 Linnbrook Drive, Dayton. Rev. Reginald Frey officiating. Interment Greencastle Cemetery.

I was so sorry to hear about my cousin & classmate from Merry High School Class of 1970. It seems like just yesterday when we were all sitting together this past July at the All Merry High School Reuion in Jackson, TN. I will miss your smile & your humor whenever we met up even while growing up
