Danny "Dano" Eugene Case
Danny Eugene Case "Dano" was born August 1, 1953 in Jackson, TN, and passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at Select Specialty Acute Care Hospital in Memphis, TN, from complications due to a cervical fusion, which left him a quadriplegic. He had his three daughters by his side, telling him how much he was loved and would be missed as he departed this earth.
He leaves behind daughters, Brandy Reid and her husband Andy Reid, Crystal Case, and Amber Jaynes; three granddaughters Stephanie Pride, Alana Todd and Hazel Grace Moore, and great-grandchildren, Jupiter Pride and Bella Pride.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.D. Case and Darlene "Dolly" McSweeney, and granddaughter, Willow Ansley Jaynes.
During the course of his career, he achieved Toyota Master Certified Status. e was highly regarded, well respected, and often times requested in his Industry. Dano was well known for his active role in the community. He was often considered the life of the party and he was distinctly known as The Elf in Becky's Annual Toy Run benefiting The Optimist Club. Also, he was an avid supporter of the Chyanne Scott Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, and The Children's Gaucher Research Fund in memory of his granddaughter, Willow.
The family of Danny Case would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to Dr. Eberle and the entire Medical and Support Staff at Select Specialty Acute Care Hospital. This group of compassionate and talented Caregivers provided Danny with the utmost respect and dignity during his final days. Not only did they provide this level of compassion and empathy to Danny, but also to his family.
There will be two Memorial Services - Saturday, January 25, 2014 at George Smith and Sons South Chapel, 1544 South Highland, Jackson, TN 38301; (731) 423-2212. Friends and family will be received from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m., with a Memorial service at 3 p.m. A second Memorial Service will take place at Becky's Red Dog, 1450 South Highland Avenue, Jackson, TN 38301; (731) 424-8458 at 5 p.m. Friends and family are invited to bring a dish and celebrate Dano's life.
