George Nathan Kendrick
George Nathan Kendrick of Beech Bluff, TN, died on June 13, 2014 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
He was born on January 27, 1948 to the late William George and Alberta Brown Kendrick of Beech Bluff, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Christine Glover and Amelia Alexander, and an infant brother, William Brown Kendrick.
He graduated from Beech Bluff High School in 1966 and received a degree in Radiology from Jackson State Community College in 1975. After graduation from High School, Nathan proudly served in the U. S. Navy aboard the USS Forrestal in Vietnam. He was employed for many years in the Healthcare Industry and retired from West Tennessee Healthcare in 2009.
Nathan was a faithful member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church for many years, and was the chairman of the Memorial Committee.
Nathan is survived by his wife of 41 years, Amy Morgan Kendrick of Beech Bluff, TN and sons, Johnathan Kendrick of Jackson, TN, William Kendrick of Memphis, TN and Joseph Kendrick of Columbia, SC. He is also survived by nieces, Andrea (Edward) Hazlehurst of Jackson, TN, Bonita (Don) Anderson of Jackson, TN and Jenny (Tony) Trimmer of Beech Bluff, TN. Nathan is also survived by a brother-in-law, Johnny Glover of Beech Bluff, TN.
Visitation will be at St. Luke's Episcopal Church on June 18th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The funeral will immediately follow at 1 p.m., with the Reverend Bill Burks and Deacon Tommy Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in Rocky Springs Cemetery.
Nathan requested that memorials be given to St. Luke's Memorial Fund at 309 East Baltimore St., Jackson, TN 38301.
