James M. (Bud) Kelly
Beloved husband, father, grandfather passed away on November 14, 2012 after a long illness.
Mr. Kelly was born on December 4, 1922 in Bemis, TN, where he lived until WWII
. He joined the Marine Corp the day Pearl Harbor was bombed and served for four years.
Mr. Kelly leaves his wife of 67 years, Evelyn Phillips Kelly; a daughter, Marion (husband, John Davis); and a son, Leyton. He had three grandchildren, Kevin Haney, Gena Marie and Kelly Haney. He leaves one great granddaughter, Kyoko Smith, all of Memphis.
Mr. Kelly spent 40 years employed by AT&T where he was always known to have a great sense of humor. Mainly, he will be remembered as a loving Christian who wanted to do his best to serve God and his family.
There will be a Memorial service on November 24th at 1:30 p.m., at First Baptist church of Jackson on Highland Ave. Everyone who knew and loved Mr. Kelly is asked to join his family in remembering Bud and his life.
