Laura Nell Rogers

Laura Nell (Linton) Rogers, age 83, quietly slipped the bonds of this earth on March 2, 20l4 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. As was her wishes she was surrounded by her family at the time of her death.

Laura is survived by her husband of 67 years, James Warren Rogers and her children. James A. (Jim) Rogers (wife Jane); Robert W. (Bob) Rogers (wife Zoe); Wanda Stanfill (husband David) and Phillip L. Rogers (wife Christy). She is also survived by her grand children Chris Rogers, Jason Rogers, Jon Rogers, Michelle Sanderson, Kate Sheehan, Bo Hart, Christina Hart-Warr, Brandon Rogers and Cody Rogers. She has eight great-grand children.

Born March 1, 1931 she is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Rhoda Linton and her sisters Virginia Venable and Opal Holmes. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church.

Miss Laura, as known to many, made a lasting impression on all she met during her life's journey. She had a full life that not only included raising a strong family but also as owner and operator of her business, Laura's Florist and Gifts. Her creativity and passion for floral art brought joy to many over the years.

The family wants to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses that attended to mother during her illnesses. These dedicated professionals were exceptional in her treatment and their compassion.

Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Dale Denning of Chapel Hill Baptist Church, will be held March 5, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home, 403 E.

Baltimore Street, Jackson, TN. Visitation will be prior starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Ridgecrest Cemetery.
