Mrs. Willie Luceal Grissom

Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Luceal Grissom, age 81, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, March 14, 2013 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home, with Dr. Hoyt Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in Lexington Cemetery. Mrs. Grissom passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2013 in Lexington.

She was born October 29, 1931 in Reagan to the late Luther and Ossie Thomas Austin Middleton. Mrs. Grissom was a devoted wife to her husband, the late Ray Grissom. She enjoyed travel and they lived all over the U. S. during her husband's military career. She was a sales representative and district manager for World Book Encylopedia for over 25 years, and an Avon Sales Lady for over 30 years, selling all over West Tennessee. Mrs. Grissom was a member of First Baptist Church of Lexington. She was devoted to her church. She enjoyed being a caregiver, loved children, and enjoyed working in the nursery at First Baptist.

Mrs. Grissom was preceded in death by her sister, Nina Sue Middleton; her brother, Faye Middleton and a grandchild.

Survivors include her son, Joel (Pilar) Grissom of Lexington; two daughters, Winnie (Bryan) Bunch of Lexington and Marie (Bobby) McVay of Eads; two brothers, Joe Neal (Jeanne) Middleton and Giron (Mary) Middleton of Florida; one sister, Bonnie May (Ed) Hale of Florida; a sister-in-law, Eula Middleton; nine grandchildren, Chris (Marta) Grissom, Mike (Susan) Grissom, Sandra (Brad) Premo, Michelle (Brian Vernon) Grissom, Cesar Grissom, B. J. (Barbee) McVay, Joey (Sara) McVay, Drew (Rhonnie Janoe) Bunch, and Sara Bunch, and eight great- grandchildren.
