Dorothy Delle Wheeler Burgess

Funeral services for Dorothy Delle Wheeler Burgess age 86 will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday April 15 2006 at Bodkin Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Cavitt officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Mrs. Burgess retired co-owner of Bil-Dot Supermarket died Wednesday April 12 2006 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. She was born in Milan TN January 28 1920 daughter of the late Ruel H. and Lillian Dorsett Wheeler. She lived most of her life in Milan and was a member of the First United Methodist Church Milan. She was a 60-year member of the Wesley Sunday School Class and a charter member of the Milan BP.W. Club. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one granddaughter Patty M. Collins; and one sister Mary Louise Wheeler. Survivors include her husband Bill Burgess of Milan Tennessee; one son Jimmy Burgess and wife Georgia of Milan Tennessee; one daughter Delle Rhue Burgess of Milan Tennessee; one granddaughter Kim Newbill and husband Jeff of Milan Tennessee; and two great-grandchildren Jake Groves and Hannah Groves both of Milan Tennessee.
