Funeral services for Mark Turner Lashlee, age 37, will be at First United Methodist Church in Humboldt, TN at 2 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2012.
Mark passed away at his home in Humboldt Monday, November 5, 2012 of complications resulting from a traumatic brain injury suffered in November of 1993.
The Reverend Justin Ramer, Pastor of First United Methodist Church in Humboldt, and the Pastor Eddie Cupples of Love and Truth Church in Jackson will officiate the service.
Mark was born March 4, 1975. He leaves his loving family, parents, Turner O. "T.O." and Carol G. Lashlee; a sister, Shannon Lashlee Randolph (Charles); a brother, Thomas Greer Lashlee (Linda); three nieces, Lashlee Randolph, Lauren Randolph and Fraley Lashlee; one nephew, Garrett Lashlee, all of Humboldt.
Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Turman O. Lashlee, and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas N. Greer.
Mark was a 1994 graduate of the University School of Jackson. After almost two years of rehabiliation at the Patricia Neal Center in Knoxville, Mark returned to Humboldt, and was employed at Lashlee Rich Building Materials. Mark served on several committees of the West Tennessee Strawberry Festival. For nineteen years, Mark faced his challenges in life with a strong and loving spirit, and deep Christian faith.
The family thanks the citizens of this area, the Humboldt Medical Community and Hospital, staff at the Vanderbilt Medical Center Seizure Disorder Center, and the Humboldt Police Department for their compassion, love, and care for Mark during the years.
The family will receive friends at First United Methodist Church in Humboldt from 12 Noon until 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Humboldt.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Mike Hawks, Rob Graning, Rodney Brown, Tim Garmany, Clayton Cooper, Bob Franklin, Will Luckey, Garett Lashlee, Andy Jones, Michael Shivers, James McKnight and Brent Walters.
