Charlotte Ingham Cooper Dickson

Funeral services for Mrs. Charlotte Ingham Cooper Dickson, age 96, will be at 1 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2014 in the chapel of Lawrence-Sorensen Funeral Home, with Elder Charles Whitten officiating. Burial will follow in Ridgecrest Cemetery.

Mrs. Dickson died Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at her residence.

She was born in Rochester, PA to the late Jim Ingham and Charlotte Smith Ingham. Mrs. Dickson moved to Memphis at the age of 2, attended school at DeNeuvlle School for Girls and later taught there for 19 years. She later moved to Jackson and was a member of Rocky Springs Primitive Baptist Church.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, W. M. Cooper, E. R. Cooper and Harold C. Dickson, and a son, Jim Melvin Cooper.

Surviving are a daughter, Linda Dickson Parker and husband David of Indialantic, FL; a daughter-in-law, Jean M. Cooper of Ipwich, Sulfolk County, England; grandchildren, Melvin J. Cooper and Michael David Cooper, both of Ipwich, Sulfolk County, England, Lesley Gallagher of Arlington, TN and Trey Jeffries of Bartlett, TN; six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank Charlotte's devoted caregivers: Mary Green, Jaye Torres, Denise Coyle and Ginny Smith.

Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
