Brooksie Lee Hunley

Brooksie Lee Hunley, age 83, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2014 in Jackson.

Brooksie liked to write poems and always had a good joke to share. She was a caregiver to the elderly.

The family would like to thank Bailey Park Community Living Center for their loving care.

She is survived by 1 son, Kent Hunley (Virginia) of Santa Fe, TX; 1 daughter-in-law, Frances Hunley of Jackson; 2 brothers, Glen Kirk (Anna) of Lexington and Michael Kirk (Carol) of Cookeville; 5 sisters, Ethelene Cook (Arnold) of Stoneville, NC, Helen Cook of Milan, Joel Byrd (Bob) of Cedar Grove, Marcie Pierce (Jimmy) of Manchester, and Brenda Fiddler (Charles) of Lexington; 1 sister-in-law, Betty Kirk of Lexington; and 2 grandchildren, Brooke and Amanda Hunley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Horace and Evie Kirk; husband, Paul Hunley; 1 brother, Aaron Kirk and 1 son, Jeff Hunley.

Funeral services will be on Thursday, August 21st at 3 p.m., at Reed's Chapel in Lexington, with burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Carroll County. Visitation will be on Thursday from 12 p.m. till service.
