Mr. Brett Blankenship, 45, of Hollow Rock passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at his home in Hollow Rock. He was born on May 1, 1972 to Bobby Blankenship and Kathy Smothers Blankenship. He was loving father and beloved family member. Brett loved to golf, cook and his close family and friends.
He is survived by 2 daughters: Hope Blankenship and Belle Blankenship and their mother Chaisee Rich of Hollow Rock, his father Bobby Blankenship of Bruceton, his mother and step father: Kathy and Joe T. Wood of Lexington, 2 brothers: Bart (Rachel) Blankenship of Bructon and Weston Wood of Nashville, his aunt Betty Springer of Pegram, TN, his uncle: Keith (Janie) Smother of Bruceton, 2 neices: Bently Blankenship and McKenna Blankenship, a nephew Jude Blankenship, his maternal grandparents: Troy and Mary Jo Smothers of Bruceton and Barbara Wood of Lexington, 4 cousins: Robin, Jessica, Keith and Kim.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Madison Blankenship and his parental grandparent Floyd Blankenship and Louise and Dink Holladay.
Visitation will be Sat. July 15 from 1 till 8 pm and Sunday from 10 till 2:00 at Bruceton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Bruceton First Baptist Church at 2:00 pm Sunday.
