To Beauford's family and friends, my heartfelt sympathy is extended. I knew Beauford in high school. He was a friend (not a "boyfriend"...but a good friend) and had already acquired good manners and charm. He was a genuinely nice boy. Beauford owned a jalopy (not many kids had their own car in the 1950s), which had been painted a canary yellow. On many days, he was kind enough to offer me a ride home from school. Riding in that car was a thrill, because no one else on campus had one like Beauford's. After all these years, it is still vivid in my mind. Years later, his nephew, Art, and my son, Chris, formed a lasting friendship. This is a sad time for you, and I pray that God will give you faith and courage to see you through.

Beauford was always a great friend and both our families have always been close. I enjoyed our visits over the past years and the good memories we always talked about. Seeing him and his special family in July was a pleasure. God will always bless all of them. We will always miss Beauford and the great memories he left us. Roger Murray
