Mary V. Garrett, 93

Mary V. Garrett, 93, Frankfort, IN, died at 9:04 a.m. Sunday, April 7, 2013 at I.U. Health Arnett, Lafayette, IN.

She was born March 30, 1920 in Frankfort, IN to Joseph Dunham & Millicent (Morris) Dunham Meadors.

She married Clark H. Garrett on February 21, 1942 and he preceded her in death on March 16, 1996.

A lifelong Clinton County resident, she was a 1938 graduate of Frankfort High School. Mrs. Garrett worked at the Clinton County Assessor's Office for 36 years, retiring in December of 1998. She was a member of the Kilmore United Methodist Church and the Clinton County Republican Women.

She is survived by: 4 sons, Gary L. (Michiko) Garrett of Colorado Springs, CO, Arthur C. (Wan Cha) Garrett of Fayetteville, NC, Gregory A. (Martha) Garrett of Heber Springs, AR, and Kevin J. Garrett of Frankfort; 1 daughter, Cheryl E. (Craig) Overman of Frankfort; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Kilmore United Methodist Church. Rev. Craig Overman will officiate the service. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 9th from 4-7 p.m. at Goodwin Funeral Home in the north chapel. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Kilmore United Methodist Church. Condolences may be left at goodwinfuneralhome.com.
