Jennie J. Bodle
Jennie Josephine (Keller) Bodle, 93, of Lafayette, passed away at 6:25 p.m. on Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at St. Anthony Health Care. Born November 15, 1919 in Attica, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Eva M. (Clark) Keller. She attended Pine Village Schools.
Jennie was married to Ralph Bodle, Sr. and they later divorced.
Jennie worked at the former Loeb's Department Store for 15 years and retired from Pay Less Super Markets where she worked in sales and was a demo person for 7 years. She was a member of West Point United Methodist Church and Women of the Moose in Crawfordsville. She enjoyed working word search puzzles and fishing.
Surviving are her two sons, Fred E. Bodle of Lafayette and Ralph Bodle, Jr. of Plant City, FL; her daughter, Connie Anthrop of West Point, IN; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 19 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Lyn Bodle, great-grandson, Tyler Ellsworth, and four sisters, Margaret Keller, Mildred Griffin, Helen Doyle, and Freda Brown.
Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral service Monday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jeff Stedge officiating. Burial to follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Coalition, Multiple Sclerosis, or American Diabetes Foundation. Hippensteel Funeral Home entrusted with care.
