Schuh, Doris J.  
Doris J. Schuh, 87 Doris J. Schuh, 87, of Remington, passed away at 3:15 am Thursday, May 21, 2015 at St. Elizabeth East in Lafayette. She was born August 8, 1927 in Remington to the late Lowell & Nina (Norton) Hensler and was a 1945 graduate of Remington High School. Her marriage was to Donald S. Schuh on January 25, 1947 in Remington. He preceded her in death on January 27, 1966. Mrs. Schuh was a homemaker and worked for Tri-County School Corporation for many years before retiring. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star. Doris enjoyed spending time with her dog, bird watching, and crocheting. Surviving are two sons, Ron (Peg) Schuh of Remington, IN, and Brian (Teresa) Schuh also of Remington, IN; a daughter, Shaun (Mike) Trusky of Lafayette, IN. Doris loved spending time with her family, especially her 5 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death with her parents and husband were a daughter, Cheryl Lockhart, and a brother, Gene Hensler. Friends may call from 9:00 am until the time of funeral service at 11:00 am Saturday, May 23, 2015 at First Christian Church of Remington; Pastor Randy Sparks to officiate. Sandberg, Mary Jean (Heller)  
Mary Jean (Heller) Sandberg, 57 Mary Jean (Heller) Sandberg, 57, of Monon passed on May 14, 2015 at her home. She was born July 3, 1957 in Chicago, IL to Albert and Darlene (Schaffer) Heller. She was a 1975 graduate of Rich Central High School in Olympic Fields, IL. She married the love her life Martin Sandberg on June 17, 1979 on their front yard of their home in Monon. He survives. Mary and Martin ran the family business. She was a farm wife and homemaker. Mary was a member of Monon First Baptist Church, a former member of the Homemakers Club, and the Animal Division of the Federal Emergency Management Agency. Mary loved being a farmer's wife, she loved her animals, and loved HER cows. Her family was her life and she cherished every moment spent with them. Her life was not complete unless she was cheering the boys on at all of their sporting events, cattle shows, and 4-H projects. She anxiously waited to have grandchildren and adored being a grandmother. She enjoyed being outside, mowing, and planting flowers. Above all, her family was her life and life was her family. Along with her husband Martin, she is survived by her two sons, Allen (Mandi) Sandberg of Agenda, KS, Johnathan (fiancé Brooke) Sandberg of Francesville; 2 grandsons, Roland and Elijah; her parents, Al and Darlene Heller; a sister, Chris (Russ) Kamplain of Steger, IL; 2 brothers, George (Heidi) Heller of Orland Park, IL and Tim Heller of Steger, IL; a sister, Pam Lhotka of Steger, IL; sister-in-law, Evelyn Sandberg of Bloomington; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews as well as her life-long friend Linda Schultz. She was preceded in death by her grandparents. Friends may call from 4:00 - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at the Monon First Baptist Church of Monon. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the church with Pastor Steve Birch officiating. In lieu of flowers, Mary would like memorial contributions to be given to Riley's Children's Hospital or Camp, White County 4-H to be designated for shooting sports or the beef barn, or to the Monon Food Bank. Serafin, Lillie  
Lillie M. Serafin Lillie M. Serafin, 65, of West Lafayette passed away Wednesday, May 13th, in her residence. Born July 28, 1949 in Chicago, IL, Lillie was the daughter of the late Stanley and Libbie Blazek. Lillie worked as an optometrist at several eye care stores. Mrs. Serafin enjoyed riding horses, living in the country and loved her family deeply. Lillie was a member of the Church of the Blessed Sacrament. Surviving are her two children: Kelly (Ray) Cicenas of North Riverside, IL and Robert Green (Tracy Dettman) of West Lafayette; one sister: Barbara (Rich) Godlewski of Bloomington, IN and two grandchildren: Kaitlyn and Ryan Cicenas. A Memorial Mass will take place at 12 p.m. Saturday, June 6th, at the Church of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in West Lafayette. A reception will follow the memorial service. Slover, John H.  
John H. Slover, 78 John H. Slover, 78, of Monticello, passed away at 10:00 pm, Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Monticello Healthcare. He was born on September 16, 1936 in Shelburn to the late John F. and Nancy "Nannie" (Lay) Slover. On June 6, 1958 he married Joan K. Foster at the Presbyterian Church inTerre Haute and she survives. He started his career in education in Midland, IN as a math teacher. He then moved to Monticello where he taught math, was the Athletic Director, and then Assistant Principal. He was principal at Pioneer High School in Royal Center and then Buffalo. He also taught math at North White High School and then returned to Twin Lakes High School where he retired as a math teacher. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Monday, May 18, 2015 at Springer-Voorhis-Draper Funeral Home of Monticello.
