Dienhart, Jeffrey W.  
Jeffrey W. Dienhart, 44 Jeffrey W. Dienhart, 44, of Lafayette, died at 7:01 AM Wednesday, February 25, 2015 in his residence, due to a lifelong battle with Cystic Fibrosis, surrounded by his family. He was born June 4, 1970, in Lafayette to Wayne and Kathleen Lahrman Dienhart of Lafayette. He graduated from Central Catholic High School, class of 1988 and attended Indiana State University and Purdue University. Jeff started his career at Lafayette Venetian Blind, Sneek-a-Peek Blind, Great Seats in Indianapolis, and was later self-employed in sales. On February 15, 1997 he married Valerie A. Valentine in Las Vegas, Nevada. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Central Catholic 21st Century Club and John Purdue Club. Jeff's greatest passion was coaching the Central Catholic Girls Basketball teams as an assistant coach and supporting all activities at Central Catholic High School. Surviving are his wife, Valerie A. Dienhart of Lafayette, a son, Drew Dienhart of Lafayette, his daughter, Alicia (Daniel) Fehnel of Chalmers, a granddaughter, Aubrey Fehnel, two brothers, Dan (Alesa) Dienhart of Lafayette and Erick Dienhart of Dallas, TX, his father- & mother-in-law, Richard & Barbara Valentine of Lafayette, a brother-in-law, Richie (Robin) Valentine of West Point, his maternal grandmother, Marjorie Lahrman of Lafayette, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a son Tyler Jeffrey Dienhart on August 29, 2013. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 pm on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd., Lafayette, IN 47909. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Monday, March 2, 2015 at St Lawrence Catholic Church, 1916 Meharry St., Lafayette, IN 47904 with Fr. Daniel Gartland officiating. Queen Esther Lake Dunbar, 73 Queen Esther Lake Dunbar died Sat., Feb. 21, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Survived by daughters Marsha Reese, Lafayette (Charlie Jr.) & Anita Wallace, Atlanta, 4 sons, Nathan Lake (Michelle) and Dr. Timothy Lake (Carmon), both of Fort Wayne; Jesse Lake, Lafayette and Aaron, Muncie (Jeannine). Also sisters, Willie Lee Thompson of Fort Wayne, Margaret Billips & Angelyn Lake; 3 brothers, Charles, her twin brother, Maudiki & Andrew Lake, (Birmingham). Calling will be 10 am-noon Fri., funeral immediately following at Union Baptist Church, 2200 Smith St. Ellis Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Preceded in death by parents, Leola & Andrew, husband, Herman, daughter Quan Nanette, son, Anthony, granddaughter, Charmaine Renee Reese, & grandsons, Sheldon & Ramon Jefferson & sister, Dorothy Staten.

Escasa, Manuel  
Manuel J. S. Escasa, 54 Manuel J. S. "Manny" Escasa, 54, of Indianapolis, passed away at 8:10 am Saturday, February 21, 2015 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis. He was born November 27, 1960, in Manila, Philippines, to Magnifia "Annie" Santos Escasa of West Lafayette and the late Vicente Escasa. Manny received his BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University and went on to serve as a Quality Engineer at Fuji Component Parts USA, Inc. Manuel attended St. Thomas Aquinas Center and enjoyed volunteering for the Beach Grove Little League and Basketball programs coaching and keeping score, he was also an avid Purdue Fan. Surviving along with his mother are four sisters, Dr. Letty Bravo of New York, Dr. Mary Anne E. Goseco (Dr. Celso) of FL, Jean Lam (Charles) of MA and Maria Teresa Escasa-Wiliams (Wayne) of West Lafayette, two brothers, Vicente Escasa Jr of West Lafayette and Edward Escasa (Taeko) of Indianapolis, ten nieces and nephews, JR Bravo (Jenny), Marlette Austria (Arden), Marilou Yap (Dann), Dr. Prudence Lam (Mike Goldstein), Paul and Rich Lam, Justin Ryan Williams, Tia, Rina and Christian Escasa, four great niece and nephews, Nash, Daphne, Benjamin and Brooklyn. As well as very close friends, Jeff, Jackie and Bryce Billington. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Soller-Baker West Chapel, 1184 Sagamore Parkway W. West Lafayette, IN 47906. A mass of Christian Burial will take place at 10:00 am on Friday, February 27th at Church of the Blessed Sacrament, 2224 Sacramento Dr. West Lafayette, IN 47906 with Fr. Patrick Baikauskas O.P. officiating. Entombment will follow at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers those wishing may contribute in Manuel's name to the American Cancer Society. Garriott, Robert E.  
Robert E. Garriott Robert E. Garriott, 72, of Oxford, IN died unexpectedly at his residence Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015 at 3:30 PM. Robert was born at Judyville, IN in Warren County, IN August 2, 1942, the son if the late Albert Leon and Mabel B. Oliver Garriott. He was a 1960 graduate of Oxford High School where he served as senior class president; played basketball and was selected to attend Boy's State. Robert worked for Eastern Airlines for a brief period and then returned to his roots in Benton County to farm. He had also been employed at ALCOA for a short period. Robert resided in Benton County for most all of his life and spent 50 years farming. Surviving is his wife, Carol M. Owens Garriott whom he married January 24, 1986 along with two daughters, Gail Elaine Green (husband Daniel) of Otterbein, IN; Sarah K. Brouillette (companion Larry Dalton) of Phoenix, AZ.; a son, Tony Garriott (wife Jenny) of West Lafayette, and by two brothers and two sisters. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, Mandy (Dale) Whitaker, Keith (Chrystal) Green, Ashley (Ceven) Goodman, Amber (Jesse) Becker, Kordell (Robert) Green, Christy (Brad) Koehler, Holli (Blake) Schoen, Trent (Amy) Brouillette, Connor Schuster-Garriott and Wes Garriott; and by 15 great-grandchildren, Andre Green, Souly, Harley and Keegan Whitaker, Gavin Green, Reann and Grace Weber, Khloe and Kasen Goodman, Sydnee and Tynlee Becker, Carson and Kennady Koehler, Kelhar and Knox Schoen. Friends may call at the Fowler Christian Church from 5 until 8 PM Monday. The funeral will be held at the Fowler Christian Church 10:30 AM Tuesday, Pastor Kirk Zimmerman officiating, with interment at Justus Cemetery at Oxford. If friends desire, memorials may be made to the Fowler Christian Church or the Diabetes Foundation. Hahn-Groeber Funeral & Cremation Services, Oxford, is caring for the family.
