Mecklenburg, Evelyn E.  
Evelyn E. Mecklenburg, 90 Evelyn E. Mecklenburg, 90, of Monticello (formerly of Lafayette), passed away and joined hands with her heavenly Father Monday, May 23, 2016. She was born on Monday, May 17, 1926, in Buchanan, Michigan, to the late Edward and Alice (Zoleman) Johnson. On December 26, 1942, in Biloxi, Mississippi, she married Henry Mecklenburg, and spent sixty (60) years together before his death in November of 2002. Evelyn was raised in Buchanan, Michigan, and was a 1944 graduate of Buchanan High School of Buchanan, Michigan. She met her future husband Henry, while working at the Buchanan Theater in Buchanan, Michigan. Evelyn was a cashier and he was an usher. From 1950 to 1995, Evelyn, and her late husband, Henry lived in LaPorte, where she was employed as a desk clerk at the Rumley Hotel and the Holiday Inn. In 1995, they moved to Lafayette to be closer to the family. While living in Lafayette, Evelyn spent almost twenty (20) years doing data entry with the Kirby Risk Center. Surviving are her children, Michael (wife Anne) Mecklenburg of Lafayette, Mark (wife Lisa) Mecklenburg of Monticello, David (wife Anne) Mecklenburg of Brownsburg, Kurt Mecklenburg of Crawfordsville, and Dawn (husband Jack) Herman of Pocahontas, Iowa; seventeen (17) grandchildren; and eighteen (18) great grandchildren. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Alice (Zoleman) Johnson; husband, Henry Mecklenburg; and brother, George Johnson. Graveside Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, May 26, 2016, at the Oakridge Cemetery in rural Buchanan, Michigan, with Rev. Edwin Brinklow of the Frist Presbyterian Church of Buchanan, Michigan, officiating. Memorials may be given to the wishes of the donor. Miller - Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.

Michael, Barbara Jayne  
Barbara Jayne Michael, 57 Barbara Jayne Michael, 57, of Frankfort, died on Saturday, May 21, 2016, at her home. She was born on November 29, 1958, in Frankfort, to the late James E. McCord and Doris O. Frantz McCord. Barb was a 1976 graduate of Clinton Prairie High School and earned an associate degree from Ball State University majoring in Journalism. She was also a graduate of House of James Beauty School and worked as a hairstylist at the beauty shop in Wesley Manor for 23 years. Barb enjoyed travelling, reading, cooking, and making and selling crafts. She was a past president of the Clinton County Art League. On February 4, 2000, she married Danny R. Michael; he survives along with their Cocker Spaniel, "Lucy." They had no other children. Also surviving are her mother, Doris; one brother, Nathan C. McCord; one aunt, Barbara June McCord; two brothers-in-law, Jim (Linda) Michael and Chuck (Donna) Toney; one sister-in-law, Carolyn White, all of Frankfort. Barb also had more than twenty-five cousins and many friends survive. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at Genda Funeral Home in Frankfort, from 3:00 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 5:00 p.m. Chaplain Barbara Kinsler will officiate. Misner, Carl L. "Ike"  
Carl L. "Ike" Misner, 82 Carl L. "Ike" Misner, 82, passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. Ike was born May 9, 1934 in Buck Creek to the late Clarence and Marie (Meellwenberg) Misner. Ike was a lifelong resident of the Buck Creek and a graduate of Buck Creek High School. Professionally, Ike retired from Landis and Gyr. He previously worked as a truck driver for Quality Beers and Lafayette Beverage. Ike attended Buck Creek United Methodist Church and was a past member of the Eagles Lodge in Lafayette. He is survived by his nieces, Patricia (Lewis) Vellia, Annette (Richard) Purcell, Penny (David) Guenther, Robin (Brian) Freed; nephews, Erle (Linda) Younker, Gilbert (Angie) Misner, Randy Misner, Gary (Robin) Misner, Jeffery Younker, Gerald (Tina) Misner. He is preceded in death by his parents and three bothers, Robert, Gilbert and Gayland Misner and sister, Ila Younker. Three nephews, Robie Misner, James Younker, and Charles "Rick" Younker. Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Hippensteel Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. Celebrant Cyndy Shafer will be officiating. Mohler, Donna Mae Herrold  
Donna Mae Herrold Mohler, 88 Donna Mae Herrold Mohler, 88, of West Lafayette, passed away Sunday morning, May 15, 2016 at Westminster Health Center. Born on April 26, 1928, in Westville, Indiana, Donna was the daughter of Raymond A. and Lura (Goodwin) Herrold. She and her twin brother Don graduated from Westville High School. Donna continued her education at Purdue University, and in 1950 received a BS degree in Home Economics. On July 31, 1948, Donna married Martin T. Mohler, and he preceded her in death on March 18, 1985. For most of their married life, the couple lived with their children on a Purdue University (West Lafayette) beef research farm, where Martin was an assistant professor. Donna was a Tupperware distributor for many years. She also was on staff at Purdue University in accounting and bookkeeping for various departments. Donna was married to Millard R. Crisp and he preceded her in death in October 2000. Donna lived in Lafayette, IN; Bradenton, FL and Flat Rock, NC before returning to West Lafayette. She was active in church wherever she lived, and was a founding member of Federated Church, West Lafayette, IN and a member of Manatee United Methodist Church, Bradenton, FL. She loved sewing and quilting and used her skills to aid others in mission projects and as gifts to family and friends. Surviving are her children, Del R. Mohler (Linda) of Des Moines, IA; Harry L. Mohler (Sylvia) of Lafayette, IN; Marla K. Soposky (Dan) of West Lafayette, IN; Wayne T. Mohler (Tracy) of Chipita Park, CO; one brother, Don Herrold of Westville, IN and Bradenton, FL; 9 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She is loved by many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are a son, Mark H. Mohler and a brother, Dan Herrold. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Federated Church (2400 Sycamore Lane, West Lafayette, IN 47906), led by Rev. John Williams and Rev. Gary Reif. Burial will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens, West Lafayette. Memorial contributions may be made in Donna's memory to Federated Church, West Lafayette, and to Manatee United Methodist Church, Bradenton, FL.

Mundell, Jacob M.  
Jacob M. Mundell Jacob M. Mundell of Lafayette, IN passed away on May 21, 2016 at Indiana University Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, IN. He was born on November 25, 1922 in Frankfort, IN, the son of Jacob and Ada Pollard Mundell. He married Brenda FitzHenry in Rock Island, IL on December 23, 1968 and she survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Karren (Walter) Kowalski of Castle Rock, CO; two sons, Craig Mundell of Frankfort, IN and Eric (Jonathan) Mundell of Indianapolis, IN; two grandchildren, Kyle (Amy) Kowalski and Devin (fiancé Tara Slattery) Kowalski; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and three sisters. Jacob served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Pharmacist Mate. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Rankin, IL. Mr. Mundell was a member of the Rankin Lions Club, Old Rails, Frankfort American Legion, Frankfort Eagles, and was a legislative representative for UTU. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, working in the yard, and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan. Memorial funeral services will be at 11:00 am CST on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church in Rankin, IL. Pastor Jennifer Hartweg-Brown will officiate. Burial will follow in Rankin Union Cemetery in Rankin, IL with graveside military rites provided by the Cissna Park American Legion Post #527. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 am CST on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Grace Lutheran Church in Rankin, IL. Nelson, Ruth A.  
Ruth A. Nelson, 86 Ruth A. Nelson, 86, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. She was born in Terre Haute, IN to the late Ernest and Flo (Messick) Dabelow on December, 29, 1929. She graduated from Otter Creek High School in Terre Haute and on July 3, 1952, she married George R. Nelson. Ruth was an excellent baker and was employed by Marsh Supermarket on Teal Road in Lafayette for 15 years. She enjoyed her family and loved to cook for them. Ruth attended swimming classes the YWCA and attended Kossuth Street Baptist Church. Ruth is survived by her husband; two sons, Dean (Deanna) Nelson of Brownsburg, IN and Mark Nelson of Lafayette, IN; daughter, Kathy Nelson (companion, Steve Hall) of Lafayette; six grandchildren, Kendra (Jared) Spring, Mallory (Jon) Adams, Lacey Nelson, Zachary (Jessica) Nelson, Erin (Kyle) Miller, Miranda (William) Garcia; two great great-grandchildren, Liam Adams and William Garcia. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Gene Dabelow. Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 at Hippensteel Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior. Osborne, James Edward "Ed"  
James Edward "Ed" Osborne, 60 Attica - James Edward "Ed" Osborne, 60, of Lafayette and formerly of Attica, passed away at his residence on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 12:44 a.m. Ed was born in Lafayette, Indiana, on April 2, 1956. He was the son of Frederick E. Osborne and the late Patricia "Trish" A. (Anderson) Osborne. Ed was raised in Attica, graduating from Attica High School in 1974. He received a Bachelors Degree from DePauw University and a Masters Degree in Divinity from Waterloo Lutheran Seminary. Ed was an ordained Lutheran minister and served in the Lutheran Church in Bluff Springs, IL. He later went into counseling and served in mental health counseling in Springfield, IL for several years. After moving to Lafayette he had been volunteering at a Food Pantry. He was raised in the Attica First Lutheran Church and after receiving his Divinity Degree became a member of the Lutheran Synod. He enjoyed reading and researching royalty lineage. He leaves behind his father, Frederick "Fred" Osborne, Attica; a brother, Dennis (Sandy) Osborne, Indianapolis; a niece, Rachel Osborne, Indianapolis; his aunts, Kathy (Ed) Bowen, Betty (Tub) Pearl ,Nancy Osborne and Peggy Anderson, all of Attica; an uncle, Bill Harris, Attica; several cousins. He was preceded in death by several Aunts and Uncles; his grandparents, George and Oveta Osborne and James and Ruth Anderson. Friends may gather at the Attica First Lutheran Church , 204 E. Pike St., on Sunday, May 29th, from 2:00 p.m. until the memorial service time at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Bradley Pace officiating. Cynthia Peters, 58 Cynthia Peters, 58, passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2016 at her sister's home in Lafayette. She was born in Lafayette on January 22, 1958 to Roy David Morehouse and the late Ruth (Moore) Morehouse. She graduated from Jefferson High School and attended Purdue University. Professionally, Cindy was the office manager for Road Safe Traffic Systems for seven years. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. Cindy loved spending time outside gardening and searching for artifacts. Cindy is survived by her father, David of West Lafayette; son, Ryan Peters of Lafayette and daughter, Ashley (Kurtis) Farrell of Clayton, NC; two brothers, Joe (Robyn) Morehouse of Lafayette and Tom (Julie) Morehouse of Worthington, IN; sister, Beckie Butler of Lafayette; two grandchildren, Gavin and Conor Farrell. She is preceded in death by her mother and grand parents. The Natural burial will take place at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 31, 2016 in The Preserve at the Historic Springvale Cemetery in Lafayette, Indiana.
