 E. Louise Booe Veedersburg — E. Louise (Rivers) Booe, 93, formerly of rural Veedersburg, passed away at the Bickford Cottage Assisted Living of Crawfordsville, on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at 4:45 p.m. She has been a resident of Bickford Cottage since 2008. Louise was born in Judson, of Parke County, Indiana, on May 5, 1920. She was the daughter of the late Clifford Kelso and Mary Jane (Presslor) Rivers. She graduated from Green Township High School in 1938. After graduation she worked as a waitress at the Turkey Run Inn State Park and Gobblers Knob until she married Francis M. Booe in South Bend on August 25, 1939. Together they developed and managed the Highland Court Restaurant and Service Station at Sterling, near Veedersburg. Later they moved to the Booe Family Farm near Hillsboro, where they farmed for over 60 years, growing grain, raising cattle and gardening. In 1966 Louise and Francis opened the Sky Valley Ranch Resort, which they owned and managed until selling it in 1990. Francis preceded Louise in death on September 8, 1990. Louise was a member and Deaconess of the New Liberty Christian Church and a member of the New Liberty Ladies Aide. She attended her 75th class alumni in April this year. Louise leaves behind her two daughters, Patricia L. (husband-Stuart) Collins, Bloomington, MN and Linda G. (husband-James) Keith, Wingate; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren. She was the second oldest of ten children. She leaves behind her two sisters, Vera White, Bellmore, IN and Janice Hall, Kankakee, IL; a brother, Hershel Rivers, Danville, IL. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry F. Booe; three sisters, Inez Marie Harbison, Joyce Osborn and Ruth Elaine Cox; three brothers, Merrill Rivers, Barton Rivers and Clifford Leland Rivers. A private family gathering will be held at the Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro, on Saturday, June 22nd at 12:00 p.m. followed by the commital service held in the Rose Hill Cemetery, Hillsboro. Friends will be received at the New Liberty Christian Church, 1774 S. New Liberty Road, Veedersburg, IN, on Saturday, June 22nd from 3:00 p.m. until the life celebration service of Louise at 4:00 p.m. with Pastors Richard McQuinn and James Keith officiating. Deloris J. Chambers Deloris Jane Chambers, 68, of Lafayette, died at 7:35 AM Saturday, June 15, 2013 at Rosewalk Village. She was born January 17, 1945, in Lafayette, to the late Charles and Lola Golden Yost. She graduated from Dayton High School and her marriage was to Floyd Robert Chambers, He preceded her in death. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary #347, and Eagle Riders. While at Rosewalk she was active on the Greeting Committee and was an avid sports fan especially the Cubs, Pacers and Purdue. Surviving are Several Nieces, Nephews, and great Nieces and Nephews. Deloris was preceded in death by a sister and 2 brothers. A celebration of life will be held from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, June 25 at the Eagles Lodge in Lafayette. An Eagles Auxiliary service will take place at 7:30 pm.  Bruce Wayne Darling, 65 Bruce Wayne Darling, 65, of Prescott, Ariz., passed away June 11, 2013. He was born March 6, 1948, in Lafayette, Ind. Bruce, one of six children born to Melvin and Alice Darling, graduated from La Puente High School in La Puente, Calif. Bruce then joined the United States Navy, serving in Vietnam. Afterward, Bruce returned to Southern California where he met his wife-to-be, Linda Colgate. Married in 1970, the couple moved to Lafayette, where Bruce became a police officer for the City of Lafayette. In 1979, the couple, along with two children, returned to California and settled in Tulare. Bruce continued his law enforcement service as a police officer for the City of Tulare before moving on to become an investigator for the District Attorney of Kings County. In 2005, Bruce retired from Kings County and he and his wife moved to Prescott. While in Prescott, Bruce worked as a bailiff for the Yavapai County Court. Bruce was best known for his infectious smile and his desire to make other people laugh. He had a deep love for all things family and often stated his favorite moments were those spent with his wife, children and grandchildren all together. Bruce was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Fresno State Bulldogs and loved to attend games whenever possible. Bruce is survived by his wife of 42 years, Linda Darling; son Scott Darling; daughter Stacy Miller and son-in-law John Miller; brothers Max, Charles and Clifford Darling; sister Lori Hart; and five grandchildren, Megan and Chase Taylor, Tyler Miller, and Danielle and Allison Darling.  Donald E. Davis, 84 Donald E. Davis, 84, of Ambia, died, Monday, June 17, 2013 at Williamsport Nursing & Rehabilitation, after a battle with Cancer & Alzheimer's. He was born July 12, 1928, in Ambia, to the late Homer & Ruth (Slater) Davis. He had attended school in Ambia. He first married Martha Coffey in 1967; they later divorced. He then married Judith Henderson, May 31, 1996 in Kentland. He had worked in Farming & had his own trucking company until he retired in 2004. He was a member of the Boswell United Methodist Church. He enjoyed camping, boating, playing cards, horses & going to the coffee shop. He had also boxed in his youth. Surviving with his wife, Judy Davis, Ambia, are two Daughters, Angie Girdler (Husband, Jim), Somerset, KY, Connie McKinney (Husband, Pete), Terre Haute, Son, Bradley Davis, Boswell, Step-Daughter, Valarie Murphy (Husband, Kelly), Earl Park, Step-Son, Brian Townsend (Wife, Leslie), Monticello, eight Grandchildren, three Great-Grandchildren, Sister, Marian Hinman (Husband, Gerald), Covington & Brother, William "Bill" Davis (Wife, Marilyn), Williamsport. Two Sisters, Cellah Jackson & Dorothy Shepherd & a Brother, Harold Davis precedes him in death. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 19, 2012, from 5-8 PM at the Boswell United Methodist Church. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, June 20, 2013at 10:30 AM at the church with Pastor Clint Fink officiating. Burial will be at Locust Grove Cemetery.  Jacob C. Farrell, 25 Jacob Charles Farrell, 25, of Lafayette, died at 7:52 PM Friday, June 14, 2013 at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis from complications of cystic fibrosis. He was born January 22, 1988, in Lafayette, to Kelly E & Becky Farrell of West Point. He graduated from McCutcheon High School in 2006 and Ivy Tech State College in 2013 with an Associate degree with honors in Computer Information Systems and Java. Jacob was a computer programmer at Thirty Five, INC and had also worked in IT for Attica School Corporation. He liked writing music and playing guitar, computers, and spending time with family and friends. Surviving along with his parents are a brother Lucas Farrell (wife Natalie) of Lafayette, a sister Kaycee Payne (husband John) of Attica and five nieces and nephews. Jacob was preceded in death by 2 nieces. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 pm Wednesday June 19, 2013 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel with Funeral Services starting at 10:00 am Thursday, June 20, 2013 at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel 400 Twyckenham Blvd Lafayette, IN 47909.  C. W. Lovell C. W. "Bill" Lovell, 90, of West Lafayette passed away on Saturday, June 15, 2013 following a prolonged illness. Born Nov 16,1922 in Louisville Kentucky to the late Edith Green and Charles William Lovell, Sr., Bill served in the U.S. Navy Civil Engineering Corps (Seabees) in the south Pacific during World War II. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Louisville in 1944, and his Master of Science in Civil Engineering from Purdue University in 1951, followed by his PhD from Purdue in 1957. Starting in 1948 at Purdue as a graduate assistant, Bill moved through the ranks to become a full professor in civil engineering in 1974. In 1996, he left civil engineering and became a facilitator of Stephen Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People for human resources at Purdue. In 2002, he was honored as the Facilitator of the Year by the Franklin Covey organization. At the time of his full retirement in 2010, he had been a staff member at Purdue for almost 63 years. Professor Lovell developed numerous courses in his civil engineering specialty of geotechnical engineering and taught extensively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. He served as major advisor for 114 graduate students, and supervised 59 graduate theses. He was recognized internationally as an expert in the stability of earthen slopes, in the performance of compacted soil and rock fills, and in the use of waste materials in civil engineering construction. He authored or co-authored 193 publications. Professor Lovell held high positions in the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the Transportation Research Board, and other professional organizations, from which he received numerous awards. He was a Fellow of both the ASTM and the ASCE. He was a past district governor of Lions International, a past president of the Lafayette Lions Club, a member of the Board of Directors of the Lafayette Rotary Club, a past president of the Greater Lafayette Civic Theatre, a charter member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church, West Lafayette, and an elder of the Central Presbyterian Church, Lafayette. Mr. Lovell traveled extensively and was an avid fly fisherman. He actively supported environmental initiatives, including the Nature Conservancy. In 1991, Bill married Mary Ellen Totten, who survives him. Also surviving are a daughter, Christine Kemp (James) of Columbus, IN; a son, Douglas Lovell (Elizabeth), of Berkeley, CA, and 1 grandchild, Megan Kemp. The rest of his loving family includes 3 stepdaughters, Rebecca Kamm of Merritt Island, FL; Holly Crawford (Peter) of Orlando, FL; and Kristi Travers (Mischa) of Portola Valley, CA; a stepson, Tom Totten of Battle Ground, IN; 6 step grandchildren, John and Mary Totten, along with their mother, Mary Jo Totten; Grayson (Cathy) and Austin Kamm; and Cameron and Lindsey Travers; and 1 step great-grandchild, Collier Kamm. He was preceded in death by a brother, John G. Lovell of Crystal River, FL, and a grandchild, Scott Lovell. A memorial service will be held at the Central Presbyterian Church, Lafayette, on Saturday, June 22, at 11 a.m., followed by a reception in the church parlor.  Korrianne Marie Lundstrom Korrianne Marie Lundstrom was lifted into the arms of our Lord on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, from Jacksonville, Florida. She was born in Lafayette, Indiana as a special Christmas gift, December 25, 1988. She moved to Melbourne, FL in August of 1991 and attended St. Joseph's and Holy Name of Jesus elementary schools and graduated from Melbourne High School. Korrianne was recently residing in Jacksonville, FL where she was attending school, and assisting in the care of her niece, whom she adored. Korrianne will be remembered for her big heart and positive expectations of her abilities and efforts. She is survived by her parents, Linda and Matthew Lundstrom of Malabar, FL, brother, Leif Lundstrom of Melbourne, FL, sister Katrina Quadrello, brother-in law Earnest Quadrello, niece Elliot Quadrello all of Jacksonville, her grandmother Agnes Snyder of Lafayette, Indiana, 19 aunts and uncles, 24 cousins and countless others whose life she touched that consider her their sister. Visitation will be held at our Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church, 3050 N Highway A1A, Indialantic, FL 32903, Saturday June 22, 2013 at 10 am followed by her funeral at 11 am.
