Almond Rardon, Jr.
Almond L. Rardon, Jr., 76, of the Indiana Veterans' Home, formerly of Milwaukee, WI, passed away at 6:40 a.m. Friday, October 25, 2013 at St. Elizabeth East Hospital. Born May 13, 1937 in Cando, ND, he was the son of the late Almond L. Rardon, Sr. and Christina Lavendure Rardon. Almond's wife Marge Rardon preceded him in death. He was an honorably discharged Army
veteran of the Korean Conflict
serving in 1953 and 1954. Almond had made his home in Milwaukee most of his life and after moving to the Lafayette area, he worked in the construction business.
Surviving are his five children, Mae, Randy, Jeff, Michelle, and Peggy, three brothers, Michael, Charlie, and Lester Rardon, and one sister, Alice Bowman, along with several grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 1 nephew.
Visitation from 9-10 a.m. Thursday with the service at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Indiana Veterans' Home Chapel with Chaplain David Hess officiating.
