Yes, Barb paved a formidable path for women pharmacists. She was my preceptor in the early '70s ... and a professional colleague thereafter. What a blessing!

I was a junior in high school when I began to work after school behind the cash register at Bill Long's Pharmacy and Barb was one of my brightest memories of those days in the early 70's....encouraging, supportive, humble...and as I look back now, recognize she was "Jesus with skin on".
What a sweet blessing she was.
My prayers are with you all now as you say goodbye to her on this side.

I had the privilege to get to know Barb from when I was in pharmacy school and worked summers at Hook's Drugs and then got to know her more after graduation when I accepted a pharmacist position with the company. Later in both our careers, I again had the honor of working with her in LTC at NeighborCare in Indianapols. Barb was warm, very generous and the most genuine person I will ever know. I learned many things about the true pharmacy profession from her.I consider it an honor to have had her as my friend and mentor. I will miss her smile, sense of humor and friendship. My prayers are with her family and all of those whose lives she touched.

I hold many fond memories of Barb from our youth. I missed her when she left Bill Long's Pharmacy. I last saw her at our High School Reunion. She was an inspiring lady.

Barb was a real pioneer among professional women. She led the way for many of us as we overcame not just a glass ceiling, but before that managed to blast through the first floor to take our place among professionals. Thanks, Barb.
