Carl E. Dockery, 81

Carl E. Dockery, 81, of Indianapolis, beloved husband, dad and pappaw, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2012.

Carl was born on May 2, 1931, in Cairo, Ill. the son of Ernest and Rebecca (Perkins) Dockery.

He retired as district salesman with MAB Paints after 20 years of service. Carl served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Brownsburg Masonic Lodge. He was a volunteer coach and umpire for little League baseball and football at Christian Park and Warren Township and was an avid sports fan.

Carl enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and loved to sing. Carl is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sandra (Sheets) Dockery; two daughters, Kimlarie (Brian) Lloyd and Sherri (Scott) Davis; six grandchildren, Garrett and Gabriel Lloyd, Hayden, Elizabeth and Tyler Davis and Dominique (Adam) Ahramovich; one great-granddaughter, Harper Ahramovich; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and family on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Flanner and Buchanan memorial Park 9350 E. Washington St. A Celebration of Life memorial Service will follow at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The family has suggested contributions may be made to the .
