Carl L. Hall, 81

Carl L. Hall, 81, of Kentland, passed away at 3:25 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at Iroquois Memorial Hospital, Watseka, Ill. He was Born Feb. 21, 1931, in Brook, Ind., to the late Fred and Thelma Cole Hall.

He graduated from Wadena High School in Wadena, Ind. in 1949 and went into the U.S. Navy where he served until 1953 as a fireman.

His marriage was to Deloris A. Lupke Hall on April 14, 1957 in Goodland.

He farmed and was a volunteer fireman for many years of his life. He was also a member of 40 & 8 Fowler and the Fowler American Legion.

He was also an avid hunter; loved fishing and trapping and enjoyed car races and auctions and helping people.

Along with his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Cindy Gowins, of Lafayette, Lori (husband: Mike) Myers, of Kentland; one son, Randy (wife: Becky) Hall, of Kentland; three sisters, Doris Tagg, of Fowler, Jenny Lowry, of Wolcott and Freda (husband: Bill) Chasteen, of Kentland; three brothers, Earl "Buck" (wife: Maureen) Hall, his twin brother, of Kentland, Lloyd Hall, of Lociel and Melvin Hall, of Fowler; three grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.

Visitation will be at Gerts Funeral Home of Goodland from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, with the service to follow; pastor Larry Klingler officiating.

Internment at Goodland Cemetery after service.

Memorial contributions may be made to 40 & 8 Nursing Scholarship Fund.
