Chuck Davies, 55
Chuck Davies, 55, of Bloomington, died November 11th, at his residence. He was born on February 16th, 1957, in Lafayette, the son of Charles Davies Sr. and Beatrice (Wood) Davies.
Chuck graduated from Lafayette Harrison High School in 1975, where he excelled in football and basketball. In 1955, he was inducted into the Harrison High School Raider Athletic Hall of Fame for outstanding athletic achievement. He was very proud of his accomplishments as an Eagle Scout.
He graduated from Indiana University
in 1979, with a degree in Telecommunications. He started his career managing WBWB (now B97) and then was a part owner in a local radio station 92.7 KT-93. In addition Chuck spent many years in Real Estate development and auto sales in Bloomington at Town and Country Chrysler and Royal Chevrolet.
He loved spending time with his family, boating, gardening, IU Basketball, and listening to his large collection of music. He was very proud of his family.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 27 years, Rae (Hill) Davies; his children, Erika Lovelace and her husband Randy of Bedford, Tyler Davies, Brady Davies, and Grant Davies of Bloomington; two grandchildren Hannah and Harrison Wright; his mother Beatrice (Wood) Davies of Bloomington; and his nephew Clayton Davies and family of Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by his father Charles Davies Sr. and his brother Dennis Davies.
There will be a celebration of life in the chapel at Sherwood Oaks Christian Church at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 16th. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m.
