Craig A. Worden, 50
Craig Allyn Worden, 50, of Indianapolis and a former resident of Rensselaer passed away at his home Sunday, November 11, 2012. Craig was born in Lafayette, Indiana on July 25, 1962. He was the son of Charles Worden Sr. and the late Joretta Long Worden.
Craig was a 1980 graduate of Rensselaer Central High School. He joined the United States Navy
where he served until his retirement in 1995. While in the U.S. Navy Craig was a jet engine mechanic and served as a recruiter for five years. He lived in Virginia Beach, Norfolk and Chesapeake, Virginia and in Valparaiso. Craig was a member of the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Rensselaer.
He is survived by his loving children, Tabitha A. Worden and Cassidy R. (Chelsea) Worden, of Indianapolis and Dustin H. (Cory) Worden of Martinsville; grandchildren, Hannah Marie Foncannon, Serenity Jada Worden, Tatum Worden, Brooklynn Worden and Eli Worden; his father, Charles Worden Sr., South Mills, N.C.; two brothers, Charles L. (Tracy) Worden, Covington and Kevin E. (Delores) Worden, South Mills, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Craig was preceded in death by his mother, Joretta "Jeri" Worden.
The family will receive friends at the Jackson Funeral Chapel, Rensselaer from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, 2012. Funeral services will be held at the Jackson Funeral Chapel, Rensselaer at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012; Fr. Don Davison officiating. Burial will follow at Mt.
