Dorothy Garrison

Dorothy Garrison, of West Lafayette, formerly of Delphi, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at her residence.

She was born on March 29, 1928, in Logansport to the late Clarence and Elmina (Stout) Groninger.

She attended Logansport Schools.

She married Julian K. Garrison Sr. on Sept 17, 1959, in Delphi and he preceded her on Sept. 18, 1997.

She was a charter member of the Delphi VFW Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the Lafayette Fraternal Order of Eagles.

She enjoyed reading, doing word search puzzles and fishing and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by sons, Bill Spicer (wife: Martha), of Otterbein, Julian Ken Garrison, Jr., of Lafayette, Johnnie Garrison (wife: Molly), of Fishers, Harold Garrison (wife: Jane), of Indianapolis; daughters, Julie Garrison, of Lafayette, Freda Draper, of Cannon, Ga., Connie Wehner (husband: Frank), of New Harmony, Utah, Wanda Buck (husband: Mike), of Wawaka, Helen Slifer, of Delphi, Nella Kent, of Hutchison, Kan.; sisters, Nancy Grable (husband: Ron) and Jean Shepard, both of Logansport; 56 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; 15 nieces and nephews and 23 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her husband, five sisters and two brothers.

Viewing will be at Davidson Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. service on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012. Burial will be in Sandridge Cemetery, West Lafayette.
