Douglas P. Dahlenburg, 81, of Logansport, died at 4:08 p.m. Monday, December 19, 2011, in Memorial Hospital E.R., Logansport. Born August 10, 1930, in Monticello, he was the son of George Dahlenburg and Delpha Elston. His first marriage was Jan. 30, 1954, to Arlene Faker who preceded in death on March 30, 1986. His second marriage was Jan. 29, 1970, to June (Roadifer) Roudebush who preceded in death on February 23, 2007.
He retired from NIPSCO after 37 years of service as a field operator at the underground storage facility in Royal Center. He was a United States Army Veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict. A member of the American Legion Post #60 and a Lifetime member of the V.F.W. #1728 in Winamac, Doug enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling.
Survivors are sons, David Dahlenburg (Amy) Fountaintown, IN, Mark Dahlenburg (Trish) Lafayette, IN, Lon Roudebush (Judy) Royal Center, IN, Rock Roudebush Star City, IN; daughters Linda Branson (Walt) Fort Wayne, IN, Mary Kay Towne (Don) Rochester, IN, Bryn Zellers Winamac, IN, Troy Hegge (Robin) Sundance, WY, Heidi Jones (Brian) Melbourne, FL, Lucille Fisher (Herb) Brookston, IN; several grandchildren & great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by 2 sons, Gary Joe Dahlenburg and Tad Roudebush, and 2 sisters, Audrey Barlow and Beulah Carlisle.
Services 11 AM Friday, December 23, 2011. Graveside service with full military graveside rights at McKinley Memorial Gardens, Winamac, IN. Memorials may be made to or Hope Hospice, 1476 W. 18th St., Rochester, IN 46975-7939.
