Edward William Littman, 94

Edward William Littman, 94, of Delphi, died, at 9:24 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, of Delphi.

He was born Nov 19, 1918, in Hammond, to the late August and Mary Willig Littman. His first marriage was to G. Kathleen England Teel, in Lafayette, on Dec 17, 1966, and she preceded him in death on May 12, 1990. His 2nd marriage was to Letha Connelly Primmer, in Delphi, on Oct. 1, 1995, and she preceded him in death on Sept 23, 2008. He was a 1936 graduate of Hammond High School, and was a WW II U.S. Army Air Corp Veteran, stationed in Mississippi, as an aircraft mechanic. He worked for the former Standard Oil, at the Brookston Plant as a truck mechanic, from 1948, until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church-Delphi. He was formerly a member of the Lions Club, and the Eagles Lodge. He enjoyed woodworking, and furniture building. He enjoyed fishing, especially to Rice Lake, Wisconsin.

Surviving are three nieces, Janice and Gustav Eifrig, of Middletown, Conn., Elizabeth and Neil Hering-Minnetonka, Minn., and Cynthia and Larry Anderson, Hilliard, Ohio; seven great-nieces and nephews; 10 great-great-nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by a sister; two brothers; and inf. twin brothers.

Memorial service will take place at a later date.
