Eugene V. Huber, 94
Eugene V. Huber, 94, of Kouts, IN (formerly of Francesville, IN) went home to be with the Lord at 9:50 PM Wednesday, July 17, 2013. He passed away at his daughter's residence in Kouts. Eugene was born on July 15, 1919 in Remington, IN to the late Louis and Lena Scheiler Huber. On July 13, 1941, he married Mildred E. Wuethrich. She passed away June 16, 2001.
Eugene served as a Medic in the US Army overseas during WWII
Eugene was a member of the Francesville Apostolic Christian Church. He was a spiritual mentor who inspired others with his positive outlook on life. He had the gift of helping people. Eugene's life exemplified a steadfast faith in Jesus Christ.
Eugene was a farmer and an entrepreneur. He enjoyed camping, cooking, traveling, and woodworking.
Eugene was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by four sons, Gene (Barbara) Huber, Winamac; Rod (Mary) Huber, Valparaiso; Chris (Sharon) Huber, Francesville; John (Beverly) Huber, Montezuma; three daughters, Sandee Price, Sarasota, FL; Peggy Huber, Kouts; Wanda (Jake) Hoerr, Phoenix, AZ ; 24 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lester (Glendoris) Huber, Francesville; a sister, Viola Schlatter, Paulding, OH; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred E. Wuethrich Huber; his parents, Louis & Lena Scheiler Huber; a granddaughter, Angela Dawn Huber; a great-granddaughter, Lauren Elyse Huber; a son-in-law, Glenn Price, Jr.;
3 brothers; and 4 sisters.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 AM EDT Monday, July 22, 2013, at the Apostolic Christian Church, Francesville, IN with the Ministers of the Church officiating.
Burial will take place in the Roseland Cemetery, Francesville, IN.
Visitation will be from 3-8 PM EDT Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Frain Mortuary Querry-Ulbricht Chapel, Francesville, IN and one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Apostolic Christian World Relief Haiti Fund.
