Frances Mayhew

Frances E. Mayhew

Frances E. Mayhew, 70, of Sheldon, Ill., died on January 2, 2013.

She was born on October 6, 1942, in East Chicago, Ind. to the late Rufus Ringer and surviving Dema (Stanton) Ringer.

Frances attended Raub High School and graduated in 1960. In 1965, she married Ray W. Mayhew in Fowler. He survives.

Throughout her life, Frances has lived in the area. Her and her husband shared most of their marriage in Sheldon, Ill. She worked at Greyhound Post House and Darrow Grain Elevator.

In her free time, Frances enjoyed crafting. She showed a strong interest in oil painting.

Surviving with her mother and husband are brother, Don Ringer (wife: Cheryl), of Goodland; sister; Becky Webster (husband: Gary), of Goodland; three nieces, Abby Wood (husband: Jim), of Brook, Tess Brennan (husband: Tim), of Fort Myers and Terri Schwartz, of Goodland; two nephews, Wayne Ringer (wife: Cindy), of Wolcott and Dale Ringer (wife: Lori), of Chalmers; and step-son, Alan Mayhew, of Lafayette.

Friends may call from 3 p.m. (CST) until the time of the service at 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Kentland; the Reverend John Huff officiating.
