Glenn F. Tilden, 63

Glenn F. Tilden, 63, of Wanatah formerly of West Lafayette, passed away Monday, August 26, 2013. He was born September 6, 1949 in LaPorte to Franklin & Alice Tilden, graduated from Wanatah High School in 1967 and attended Purdue University. Glenn was a longtime employee at Follett's Book Store in West Lafayette serving 39 years. Glenn had a heart for helping others, while employed at the bookstore he helped many by purchasing books and giving them away. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He had been a member of Harvest Chapel Sacred Grounds Church in West Lafayette and was affiliated with Cornerstone Community Church in Kouts. Glenn's intellectual gifts set him apart from his contemporaries which proved to be a bittersweet burden to bear over the course of his life. He found spiritual peace and stability in the Lord in recent years as his life's journey brought him full circle.

He is survived by his brother, Paul (Denise) Tilden of Raleigh, NC, 2 nieces and his care giving cousin, James (Julianne) Mack of Wanatah and many other cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Diane Alice Tilden.

Following cremation a committal service will be held Saturday 11:00 am at Hanna Cemetery, Pastor Jay Birky officiating. Memorials may be made to C.C.C. for their Restoration House to be used for women's outreach. WanatahFuneralChapel.com
