Iona Mae (Hensley) Miller, 74

Iona Mae (Hensley) Miller, 74, of Remington, passed away surrounded by her loving family at George Ade Memorial Health Care Center on Saturday, January 5, 2013.

Iona was born January 11, 1938, in Jasper County, Ill. to the late Don Forest Hensley and Allie Lucille Hutton (Hensley, House).

March 2, 1958, in Kentland, Iona married Albert E. Miller, Jr. He survives.

Iona is a graduate of Remington High School Class of 1957.

Iona was a housewife. She also worked at Better Coil of Goodland and Schultz's Family Store for years. Iona loved to sew and especially enjoyed making quilts.

Iona is survived by her husband, Albert E. Miller Jr.; daughter, Bonnie Gifford (husband: Philip Gifford); grandsons, Matthew and Adam Gifford; two sisters, Norma Rhoads (husband: Roy Jr.), of Goodland, Kathryn Budreau (husband: Bob), of Lebanon and two brothers, Paul Hensley (wife: Ann), of Avon and Richard Hensley (companion: Bill Patterson), of Indianapolis.

Iona is preceded in death by her parents.

Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. (EST) on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Stitz Clapper funeral Home of Remington; the Reverend Daniel Nave officiating.

Interment to follow in Remington Cemetery, Remington.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
