John C. Goodrick, 44
John C. Goodrick, 44, of Lafayette, formerly of West Lebanon, passed away in his home at 11:06 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012. Born May 7, 1968, in Danville, Ill., he was the son of John D. Goodrick of West Lebanon, and Kathy (Meyer) Clark of Covington. He was a 1986 graduate of Seeger High School and graduated from Purdue University
with a degree in Electrical Engineering. John was an electrician for Wabash National for 20 years. John served actively in Desert Storm with the 209th National Guard Army for 4 years.
He married Heather Owen on August 19, 2011, in Williamsport, and she survives.
John enjoyed country and western music, camping, and spending time with his family. He was a fan of the University of Illinois
sports, the Chicago Bears and the Miami Heat.
Surviving with his wife and parents are his children: Carrie and Erin Goodrick both of Lafayette; 3 step-children: Joshua Campbell, Jared Dever and Danielle Dever all of Lafayette; 2 brothers: Dennis Hall (wife, Marian) of Las Vegas and Joseph Goodrick (wife, Gayle) of Terre Haute; 2 step-sisters: Tena Maxfield (husband, Rodney) of Covington, and Marsha Lamb (husband, David) of Kingman; 3 grandchildren: Cory, Jaime, and Marshall; his wife's parents, Robert and Debora Owen of Lafayette and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, James Clark; a cousin, Bill Satterfield; and his maternal grandparents.
