Johna Raye Moore

Johna Raye Moore, 52

Johna Raye Moore, 52, of Lafayette, passed away suddenly in her home on 7/13/14 of apparent natural causes.

Johna was born in Frankfort on 8/24/61. She attended Jeff High School and Indiana Business College, and graduated from Harrison College with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Business Management in 2011.

She worked in food service most of her adult life, and was employed at the Navy Club U.S.A. Ship-12 in Lafayette as bartender for the past few years. She was also an active voted member of the Club.

Johna is survived by her mother, Rebecca (Becky) Rhodes Moore Turner, a sister, Lou Anna Moore Ray, her beloved great niece, Dakota Shirar, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Buddy Moore, her identical twin sister, Julie Kaye Moore, her beloved niece, Deseri Peterson, and many other relatives and friends.

Johna donated her remains to the Indiana University School of Medicine Anatomical Program. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, and will be announced.

Memorial donations may be given to Navy Club-Ship 12, 1905 Elmwood AV, Lafayette, IN 47904, to be used for a memorial dinner there in Johna's honor at a later date. The Club members and employees, who were all fond of Johna, want to purchase a special urn for her cremains with remaining donations.
