Kenneth "Brownie" Brown, 84

Delphi - Arthur Kenneth "Brownie" Brown, 84, has joined his wife and son together again in spirit for eternity on Thursday, September 12, 2013.

Kenny had been a resident at Monticello Healthcare since July and was formerly a resident of Delphi.

Kenny was born to the late Arthur F. and Mae (Monnett) Brown on April 29, 1929 in Delphi. He had attended Camden Schools.

He served in the US Army from 1946-1947 as a supply clerk.

He married Velma Greasor on July 31, 1954 and she preceded him on March 4, 1961.

Mr. Brown retired from the US Postal Service. He had been a rural carrier from 1984 until his retirement in 2008.

Kenny was a member of the Delphi United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed flying pipers to Florida and enjoyed going to Las Vegas and playing Keno.

He is survived by his daughters: Debra Warner (husb: Jum), Diane Miller (husb: Lee), both of Monticellom and Drindy Brown of Westfield; grandchildren: Justin Warner (Parmy), Corey Warner Miller (Ryan), Dana Miller, Adam Miller, and Chantz Miller; and sister, Donnabelle Brown.

He was preceded by his wife and newborn son, Kevin; brother, Donald; sisters: Zelma Smith and Ida Ellis and great-grandson, Parker Miller.

Visitation will be at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi from 10:30 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. service on Monday, September 16, 2013. Pastor Bob Duke officiating. Burial will follow in Masonic Cemetery, Delphi. Military Graveside Rites by the Carroll County Honor Guard.
