Kevin E. Summitt
Kevin E. Summitt, 29, of Lafayette, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013 in Franciscan St. Elizabeth East.
Kevin was born on August 20, 1983 in Frankfort, to Floyd "Gene" Summitt and Christine Marie (Davey) Beck.
On April 25, 2008, he married Nicole Dyer in Lafayette; she survives. Kevin and Nicole renewed their wedding vows and were baptized on April 25, 2013.
Kevin had been working for Lafayette Wire as a Welder.
He was a member of Brady Lane Church of Christ. Kevin enjoyed being outside, singing, working with the church volunteers, paintballing, and loved teaching his son new things.
Surviving with his wife, Nicole, are his parents; his children, Kevin Alexander "Alex" Summitt of Lafayette and Aaliyah Summitt and Paris Summitt of Kokomo; a brother, Justin Montgomery of Frankfort; a sister, Amanda Summitt of Danville, IL; and his grandmother, Marita Davey.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Richard "Dick" Davey and his uncle, Brian Davey.
Services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at Brady Lane Church of Christ with Pastor William Overbay officiating. Interment will follow at Wyandotte Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday at Brady Lane Church of Christ.
Memorial donations may be made to the Kevin Summitt Memorial Fund to help the family with funeral expenses. Envelopes will be available at the church.
